We wanted to give everyone an update and let you know how we are doing so far. Thanks and deepest gratitude to all who have helped us with this memorial fundraiser. We still have a way to go to cover the cost of this expense, but we are hoping to make a final push and meet the cost for the Bergman family. His family has supplied information for the Visitation and Celebration of Patrick’s life below.
Patrick Eldon Bergman, age 14, passed away on Tuesday, February 7, 2017, at Harrison County Hospital in Corydon, IN. Patrick was born in Landstuhl, Germany. He loved to play baseball and basketball, as well as ride motorcycles and go karts.
Patrick is survived by his parents, Joe and Melissa Bergman, Guston, KY; a brother, Brandon Bergman, Guston, KY; his grandparents, Sue Chandler, Kimmel, IN, Sue Bergman, Ft. Wayne, IN; Ric Brown, Ft. Wayne, IN, Bill and Cindy Bergman, Churubusco, IN; his step brothers, Mark McPherson Danny Segura and Hunter Segura, all of Rock Island, IL; his step sisters, Kristi 
McPherson, Jaimi McPherson, both of Richmond, VA; his aunts and uncles, Andy Bergman, Auburn, IN, Shelly and Danny Bergman, Rome City, IN, David and Mindy Miller, Churubusco, IN, Joey Swartz, Kendallville, IN; his godparents, Dan and “Mama” Steph Segura, Rock Island, IL; and several cousins.
A Celebration of Patrick’s Life will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, at Glad Tidings Christian Center, 515 Bypass Rd, Brandenburg, KY (click for directions) with Rev. Junior Titus officiating. Visitation will be held at Hager Funeral Home (click for directions) from 9:30 AM until 9:00 PM on Saturday, and after 11:00 AM on Sunday. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the Vine Grove Animal Refuge Center, or to the Glad Tidings Food Pantry.
The anthology series Voices Against Bullying has been revived by its Editor and will henceforth be published in honor of Patrick Bergman. The series collects artists and writers from all over the US and elsewhere to contribute their own stories, testimonies, artwork, to take the stigma out of being bullied, give youth a voice, and save lives.
